MIRZA IMAMULLA BAIG was one of the most popular senior advocates of Andhra Pradesh High Court. He was son in law of Sri. K.F.Baba, Senior Advocate, doyen of Andhra Pradesh legal practitioners and brother of Sri Mirza Ghousulla Baig, highly acclaimed Advocate of Kazipet, Hanmakonda, Warangal District.
He was born on Dec 05, 1944 in Mahabubabad, Warangal District to Mirza Asadulla Baig, Landlord of Mahabubabad. After completing his 12th standard in 1963 from Z.P. Multi Purpose High School, Mahabubabad he came down to Hyderabad for higher education and stayed as paying guest at Bank Street. Kothi and completed B.Sc. from Saifabad College, Hyderabad and later on completed LL.B.
He was enrolled as an advocate by Bar Council of State of Andhra Pradesh on February 8, 1971 with enrolment No. A.P. 8/1971 and practiced in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Labour, Service law in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunals.
He was appointed as Standing Counsel for Andhra Pradesh State Wakf Board on 29-04-1995 and continued working for about two years.
In the year 2000, he contested for the post of Vice-President of Andhra Pradesh High Court Advocates’ Association and won the election with a thumping majority. During his two years tenure as Vice President of APHC Bar Association he relentlessly worked towards the welfare and benefit of High Court Advocates.
He was appointed as Government Pleader of Kurnool Municipality in the year 2003.
He passed away due to cardiac arrest on 28th November’2003. The news of his sudden sad demise was a shock to the whole legal fraternity of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
His eldest son Mirza Safiulla Baig who was attached to the office of Sri. Uma Maheshwar Rao, senior criminal advocate, took charge of his office and conscientiously handled all pending matters.
